About the House
Here at the Delta Tau Chapter of Phi Kappa Tau, we take great pride in our Chapter House. Very few Fraternities
at Cal Poly Pomona have a true Fraternity house; and even fewer own their own house. Being Cal Poly's first Fraternity
has definitely helped Delta Tau to buck that trend. We moved into our Chapter House in the 1960's, before
most of Cal Poly's current Fraternities even existed on campus. Then, in the 1980's, we formed the
Phi Kappa Tau Pomona Chapter House Corporation, and purchased the house for ourselves.

Our early 1900's,
three-level Victorian style house is the heart of our Chapter. The house is where a majority
of our events and meetings take place. The house features a hot tub, a large
meeting room, hardwood dance floor, a one half acre backyard, and the Brian Brooks
Memorial Bar. With its 14 bedrooms, the house currently provides 19 brothers
with a home while they attend Cal Poly. Plus, since the house is owned solely by the Chapter itself,
so it will continue to be the heart of our Chapter for decades to come.
The house has never looked better, or been in better shape. Several years ago, we had the exterior
re-painted and put on a new roof. We also recently refinanced the house so that we could
completely renovate the bathrooms, make some enhancements to the electrical system, and replace the carpeting,
to name a few of the improvements that have been completed, or are currently planned for the near future.
Plus, we have an alumni donation fund geared towards raising additional money for future improvements
to the house.
Living in the house is an experience unparalleled by any other. Not only are you always in
the center of all the action, but it also teaches you responsibility and how to make it on
your own. Plus, the cost of living in the house is extremely reasonable. There is no better way to have a
true college experience than living in a true fraternity house.
The history and tradition contained within the walls of the house serve
as the foundation from which we began, and as the structure which we will continue to build
upon, year after year. You owe it to yourself to come by and take a look at our Fraternity
house and see what real Fraternity life at Cal Poly is all about.
